This course is designed to provide instructors with an overview of the Universal Design for Learning Framework and demonstrate how to effectively integrate videos into their virtual learning space by applying best practices to create interactive micro-lectures that will engage students and increase learning and retention. Using a flipped classroom model, learners will have an opportunity to explore various web-based tools and learning management system (LMS) plugins that can be used to design course lectures that align with Quality Matter Specific Review Standards 8.3 and 8.5. so that participants with learning and physical deficiencies will have equity of access. All learning activities will be experiential, interactive, low-stakes, and asynchronous (self-paced). Learners will receive actionable, timely feedback from the course instructor and their peers to assist them in mastering the concepts, and meeting the course objectives. The course will require a maximum of 4 hours to complete. Participants will be required to respond to a course evaluation survey at the end of the course in order to receive a badge for successful completion.
